How to Install GTA 6 Maps (5-Minute Beginner Guide)

Installing maps for GTA 6 involves five simple steps. Back up your game, install the prerequisites (file browser and memory extender), download your map, drop the files into your "custom maps" folder, and run offline.
Back up your game folder before installing your first map. Map mods don't often break your game, but a backup will save you hours if they do.
When using MLO interiors, you will also need a script hook framework. Most RP MLOs come with built-in RP framework hook points that need scripts to activate them.
Start GTA 6 while offline to test. Do not load any maps while connected to GTA Online - you will get banned.
