Map archives come in the following formats: .zip, .rar or .7z. Archives up to 1 GB go through R2 and VirusTotal scanning. Archives from 650 MB to 1 GB will automatically be approved without scanning (VirusTotal cannot scan files that large) and a notice will show up on the map's page. Archives over 1 GB must be uploaded to Google Drive and linked using the share link.

Clear your browser cache or try a different network. If the problem remains, click the Report button on the map page (under the Save / Share row) and we'll take a look within 24 hours.

MLO interiors usually range from 5-50 MB. Roleplay precincts and hospitals are usually between 50-300 MB. Full open-world expansions can range from 500 MB to 2 GB. Each map page will have the file size available next to the download button.

Begin with the roleplay maps category - precincts, hospitals, city halls, apartment buildings. Stack 10-30 of these to build a believable city. Your city will become your canvas for heist and mission-pack roleplay.

Hotlap circuits, drag strips and rally stages are listed in race tracks. Touge passes, parking-lot drift and slalom courses can be found in drift. Megaramps and stunt parks belong in stunt & parkour.

Check out open-world expansions if you want new ground to cover, mission packs if you want voice-acted campaigns, zombie & survival for horde sandboxes or heist setups for one-shot blockbuster missions.

Sign up, verify your email address, then navigate to upload. Upload your map directly using R2 (up to 1 GB) or paste your Google Drive share link for larger files. If you're new, please review the creator guide before submitting.

Tiers are shared with GTAModding.net. Rising is the default (0-3 approved maps), Verified has 4+ maps with a 4.0+ average rating, Pro Creator has 10+ maps with 500K+ downloads and a 4.5+ rating, Elite has 25+ maps with 2M+ downloads and ratings in the top percentile, and Partner is by invite only. Your tier will be auto-calculated daily.

Yes. Navigate to your dashboard map list, open that map's manage page, and edit title / tagline / description / category / tags. To upload a new version of the file, submit another file - it will be virus scanned then automatically activated if it's clean. The old version will remain until that process is complete.

On your map's manage page, you can upload up to 10 screenshots (shown as a lightbox gallery on the public map page). New versions are shown in the Version history list with changelogs. Go to your maps dashboard to manage screenshots and versions.

GTA6Maps.com will only host free maps. If you want to sell premium tiers, bundles or early-access releases, list them on GTAModding.net. It's the same review process with added payouts, 85% revenue share and tiers for creators.

Click the heart icon on any map page to save it. View your complete collection on /dashboard/saved. You must be logged in.

Update all your information at /dashboard/profile, including your display name, bio and avatar, as well as links to your Twitter, YouTube, Twitch, TikTok, Discord, GitHub, GTAModding.net profile and website.

Click on the Forgot password link on the sign-in page. You will be sent a link to reset your password via email, valid for one hour.

All transactional emails contain an easy one-click unsubscribe link in the footer. Important account security emails (password resets, email confirmations) will still be delivered. You may resubscribe at any time using that link.

No - unsubscribing only stops non-critical emails. To delete your account and all associated data, please contact support.

All archives pass through VirusTotal before being approved. Archives over 650 MB cannot be scanned by VirusTotal and will automatically be approved (there will be a notice stating so on the map page). Before installing those, make sure you know who the creator is and where the file came from.

No. You can only use custom maps in offline / story mode or on dedicated private servers. If you join GTA Online with a map loaded, your account can be banned.

Report maps through the Report button on the map page (choose the Malware option). All reports are investigated within 24 hours. Maps which are flagged will be pulled and the creator's account suspended pending investigation. Serious issues can also be sent to us through the contact page.

Modding GTA 6's single-player on PC is allowed under Take-Two's official policy. Do not release maps containing ripped Take-Two IP, and never load custom maps when you're in GTA Online.

Submit a removal request to maps@gtanetwork.net or follow the instructions on our DMCA page. We will investigate your claim within 48 hours.

Verify the install location with the author's readme. Most maps should be placed in mods/maps/, but some MLOs require a file browser tool to replace files within an RPF archive. The install guide will help you through the usual pitfalls.

Delete your newest map, validate game files through your launcher, then do a clean install. 90% of crashes are due to mods conflicting, missing dependencies or old tools.

Yes, but install them one at a time and test in between. Two maps on the same coordinates will silently conflict with each other. Shifting the load order or deleting duplicate ymaps usually fixes the problem.

Turn down shadow and texture quality, and reduce draw distance. If you have a heavy stack (multiple roleplay MLOs in the same area), you'll need a memory extender to keep streaming smooth.

Please read the install guide before installing anything - the prerequisites take about five minutes. Next, choose one map from the best GTA 6 maps shortlist and try installing it on its own before attempting to stack 10+ MLOs.

Sign in, navigate to the map page, scroll down to the Reviews section, select a number of stars and optionally add a written review. You may edit your review whenever you wish. Users may not review their own maps.
