Best Tools for GTA 6 Map Modding
The three tools you absolutely need as a map installer or modder.
There are three free tools that cover 90% of map modding needs: a file browser which can edit RPF archives, a memory extender which allows heavy map loads to run, and a script hook framework which allows you to fire RP hooks and mission scripts.
All of these tools are free and open-source. Download them once and ignore them until the next big patch.
If you're creating maps yourself, you'll also need a map editor. Map editors created by the community allow you to create .ymap and .ybn files with visual placement.
