Fixing Common Map Install Issues
The most common GTA 6 map install problems and the one-line fixes that solve 95% of them.

Most GTA 6 map install issues fall into three buckets: crashes on load, missing textures (pink surfaces), and maps not appearing in-game.
If the game crashes on load, remove the most recent map, verify game files via your launcher, then reinstall cleanly. Most crashes come from missing prerequisites or a memory extender not being installed.
Missing textures usually mean files were dropped in the wrong RPF archive or corrupted during extract. Re-extract to a clean folder and retry.
If the map doesn't appear in-game, double-check the custom maps folder path in the creator's readme. Most creators specify exact file locations - don't improvise.
